In manufacturing parts and components for cars or aircraft, where high reliability is required, a vacuum is used for leak inspection of parts, heat treatment, and consistent quality of materials.

For example, a helium leak detector is used for leak inspection of parts. A split-flow turbo molecular pump with multiple inlet ports of different compression ratios provides differential pumping in a single unit. We manufacture split-flow types to meet each specification of leak detectors.

In the manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries, which are the batteries of electric vehicles, materials are mixed, dried, and the electrolyte is filled in a vacuum. In these processes, Dry Vacuum Pumps resistant to the used chemicals operate.

In manufacturing CFRP parts, which are expanding their application as structural materials for aircraft, a vacuum is also used in the mixing and bagging. We have a lineup of single-stage direct-drive oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pumps VSV series, suitable for repetitive pump down from atmospheric pressure.

Vacuum furnace applications include vacuum sintering, brazing, carburizing, quenching, and nitriding. Vacuum furnaces require vacuum pumps rugged against heat and dust and have large pumping speeds to enable short pump-down cycles. We offer combinations of the P series oil-sealed rotary piston vacuum pumps and the RD series roots vacuum pumps and combinations of the W series liquid-ring vacuum pumps and the roots vacuum pumps, which are more tolerant to dust.
